Here's my astrantia major Roma. Somewhat lacking in pinkness. Wondering if I've been given something else. The one on the right is bit pink but not exactly convincing.
Sorry no I haven't BM and Winnie, bought from plant sale, got 3 , 2 last year 1 this, the one this year has been almost destroyed by slugs and snails the 2 from last year I thought had hardly any flowers, in fact I asked here about it, then they proceeded to flower rather well!
You're right super noodle, they look quite different, one on right looks like its half pink and half white! I still think they are both lovely though but shame if you wanted deep pink
Glad yours ended up lovely rose mummy Ps when are you gonna post pics of your front garden, I bumped up our star of front garden thread for you but don't think you was around yesterday x
Glad yours flowered well Rosemummy, I remember us talking about this.
Only 2 of my old 6 flowered after all and 1 of my new 3 but I can't take credit for that one. I mixed up my labels as well but I think one that flowered was Buckland, and also a burgundy one
I am now an Astrantia Addict thanks to Beaus Mum. I now have several of her babies planted in their new home and also some seeds to sow tomorrow. Their colour will be a surprise when they flower next year (see Verdun's comment above) so something to look forward to.
Could it be, Verdun, that my astrantia are so grey because they are new bare root plantings? Perhaps next year they'll be more pink?? I like white, but not this grey
