Any saving graces that can help my poor plants?

    stable manure or droppings from horses in a field ?

    Can you rake it away from the plants? Lots of water, any chance you could add a mulch to dilute the muck? image

    I get droppings from the horses in the field over the road and spread it any old time

    Stable manure has urine soaked straw in it, it's the ammonia in urine that the plants don't like. Shrubs can cope with droppings though I wouldn't spread anything right up against the plant, they might rot it they're wet a long time and it's a wet year.

    Stable manure! I Took the fresh from the top of the pile. MISTAKE. It was prob from yesterday. Im going to spread it right away

    I'd collect it and store it a while. You don't need to get every last bit

    Surely a good soaking will dilute the nasties, just like with the lawn if you get to it immediately image
