Hi Chris, I went to HC for the first time this year and was also disappointed, it was v hot and crowded and as we went on the Sunday I felt that everything was 'past its best'. I would perhaps contact the organisers and explain the difficulties you experenced if enough people complain they may look at their organisation of the event and see of there is something they can do for those with mobility issues, even if they couldnt do something at all their shows they may be able to pick one and have a half day that caters for those with disabilities. I hope you wont be put off joining in on the forum I find the majority of people very friendly and have learnt a lot since my first post.
Snowathelete, its no good mate, you will have to send Mrs Snow on a carpentry couse, keep your eye on the free papers and ebay, ive got a raised bed made out of half sleepers which are reletively light and havent needed to be fixed with anything
If you are patient and leep checking you will find something
just growing what I will eat, runner beans, purple sprouting brocc, beetroot in black tubs and a discovered tomato plant from last year. East facing so drag them into sunshine after 11 to catch the sun. Not odeal but enjoy seeing what happens

Snowathlete, Hello
,
There isn't space in my garden for raised beds either so I'm compromising with larger containers or pots depending on what I want go grow.
Taking some planning as to where they will go but at least I can get the best out of the shade/sun positions and height to suit me.
When energy allows I'll take some photos
If you are patient and leep checking you will find something
A start with my container gardening
