    OH said that the cucumber actually tastes like cucumber.  We didn't eat the courgettes, we weren't really hungry tonight but will have them tomorrow, there is another ready too I noticed tonight.  It is fab eating food you have grown image

     

  • OL, your OH sums it all up well.....stuff you grow yourself tastes as it should.....can you ever go back to the tasteless supermarket rubbish?

    Probably homegrown carrots are the best example of the taste difference.

    I agree David and tomatoes image I can't wait for the toms to be ready.

    When checking the cucumbers today there are 3 tiny babies that have gone yellow and very few flowers??  Not sure why?

    Normally a pollination issue, are they in GH? image

    Yes they are and there have been loads of bees in there, the toms are doing great and the courgettes were doing great, but now aren't in the GH.  I have had 3 cucumbers and just hope that isn't it image

    No, you will be over run before long, some always drop off, its normal, even when the bees do their thing, they dont always take for some reason image

    4 more courgettes today, OH has gone on a bike ride and left me instructions for making something with them!!?? image
