We've only had ours a month and have dug over and pulled out by hand countless brambles a third of our plot. With the weather we are having the rest of the plot is fast becoming full of grass and yet more brambles so we have resorted to some weedkiller to keep it all at bay. We shan't be growing on it this year anyway.

My advise is depending on how large your plot is, ours is over 25ft long, to dig over a chunk of it this year and do more next year. Plant easy and fast growing crops and make friends with people who have horsesimage
