Mr Toast. I like many, was dismayed with your first postings: but, as I've said before, I reckon there's a gardener in you waiting to get out. Once the family grow up, I can see you cutting out beds and planting stuff.
Well done you and top marks for a job very, very well done.
Well for now I am just digging up all the borders, then putting some of that lovely top soil down, I am thinking of putting a small tree in the corner near the wall/fence and then just bedding plants next year.
Your front garden looks fairly tidy as it is. It should do you until you have got over the mammoth job of the back! Then next year when you are out the back relaxing with a pina colada and admiring your handiwork you can turn your thoughts to what to do with the front.

So much determination from you and sound advice, support and lol from gardeners here. Full of admiration, no less expected from a 'northern lad'
Inspirational, please keep posting photos.

Ee, lad I'd never 'a guessed it
I would tend to water it thoroughly every 2-4 days rather than twice a day. Perhaps some experts will come along and give better advice.
Thanks Hogweed, I guess I am just worried about it drying out and killing the seed.
The wife set me my next challenge today, the front garden, nowhere near as bad.
Oooh, what are you going to do with that? Can we help if we behave ourselves?
