Not sure why the been boards used to close, but I am pleased this one won't. OH has had a mammoth cooking session this afternoon to make his favourite pies. Trouble is he has made loads and none of the rest of us are really keen on them! Off to bed shortly, just watching a bit of Joanna Lumley
Good morning folks! Thanks for all your good wishes - you're all very kind - am feeling slightly more human today although still getting waves of nausea and cramps, but nothing 'serious' happening. think I'm probably dehydrated so will try to remedy that . Loved that video of the Nativity Play - there was a child with the same 'performance style' as that angel in my daughter's class - she never really grew out of it!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning, so much for my lie in, woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep. Came down for a cuppa and started titivating the decorations that the family sorted out yesterday. Managed to get some large pieces off the Chrissie tree, holly and ivy, which then got decorated with baubles. I shall post some photos of our endeavours later, don't expect too much though, I'm not very artistic.
Just got some present packing left to do. After my mammoth cook out yesterday, I'm taking it easy today. I made Nigel Slater's sticky cranberry sausages, ver nice, even though I say so myself!
Oooh, a Christmas Miracle would be good (for a change) otherwise OH will be learning to use the food processor to make stuffing for a chicken tomorrow!

Got back quite late last night and was going to have a poodle round on here and Hubbie spotted a pile of cards on sideboard which I'd forgotten to give out. Had to race up to other friends house and then stayed there for a few hours. By the time I gotr back I was wacked !
Sorry to hear Dove and Dean are not so good so sending my best wishes for a speedy recovery. Get well soon.
Have a very Happy Christmas everyone and thank you all for being my cyber-friends and for all the advice and help.
Going to be cooking most of the day and have to make a shed load of chicken liver and brandy pate. I have to make it for the world and his wife now.
Be back sometime later and Beck's - glad you're back.

The reason I asked the question is because the Beeb closed over the Christmas holiday !
I realise that-but this isn't the BBC
Well pardon me for asking !

Morning all Christmas Evers,
Just 24 hours to go- and all that wrapping paper that you tenderly used- will be strewn all over the floor
Dove this could be another Christmas miracle-and you will be running around again with the rest of the world
Today's mystery choc- is -another celestial being
Moring forkers,
Another mega squelcherama outside today, and more rain for Christmas Day.
The most appropriate program on telly last night - Joanna Lumley retracing the story of Noah's Ark.
