I normally go to Sainsburys early, around 7am. Today was my last shop for Christmas and I anticipated that a lot of shoppers would be there. So I went extra early. The shop was almost deserted. They seem to have been anticipating more people, and had more checkouts open, but most of them were doing nothing. All the shelves were fully stocked, so did all my shopping, and it was a very pleasant shopping experience.
I'd forgotten about that prediction until now.....
Gary daughter went into Tesco at 2am+ t'other night. She said it was soo quiet- more staff than customers (2-3?) & you had to use the self service tills, but she thought a main till would be opened if nec. I often txt her a list if I need something as she drives past from work, but didnt know she was going this time.....
I'll be in S'burys very early tomorrow, with or without OH! My alarm is already set!
Have been mud-turning in the chicken run-it is the bit by the door that gets it worse-the cover works pretty well-more rain for tomorrow-you have been warned
Bev and Nola-will you be joining in more over the hols?
Jean-you are a fool-I've got 30 minutes to fulfill my bucket list-
Lets hope Becks makes it back from Communicado today-that must be where she was yesterday

Morning (and evening) forkers,

According to Sky News this morning, the Mayan calendar runs out at 11.12am this morning. That will be the exact time of the Winter solstice.

My guess for today's Advent chocy - a Pantomime Dame (a 'woman' who is not a woman, nor a man).
