Afternoon all, I see I got a mention on a previous page image

Hope I don't get blamed for any leggy seedlings though. I think the sun must have stayed in the north all day, still a bit cold and very cloudy all day here. Getting excited as I'm starting on the seeds tomorrow, first up is peas and sweet peas.

  • been lurking on this forum for a couple of years, but actually decided to be a 'poster' and have finally got around to reading some posts on this thread, it's like a good book image

So Hi to everyone, I'm 38, married, 2 kids under 5, started enjoying gardening about 5 years ago, (but my folks always been keen) bought my first house 2 and a bit years ago with a BIG (well compared to new-build anyways and my ex-rented pocket hanky) garden. Trying to basically make enough raised beds to sort most of our veg, constructed 10x12' GH, currently sorting everything! Hopefully get some pics up of what has happened so far and what I hope to achieve. This thread is basically the daily banter while having a cuppa?

Everyone seems very nice and very knowledgeable, a pleasure to make your aquaintance. Oh I'm also 5 miles from Birmingham city centre and enjoyed some lovely sunshine today image

    Regards Ben.

Flo-do you need some fashion tips from the master?image

I knew someone would misinterpret drawers and I wasn't getting good odds on who image
The drawer runners in the ancient wardrobes are plastic which has degraded over the years and I've been replacing them with wooden ones.
Thehn again I suppose a fashion tip for Woman With Own Power Tools wouldn't go amiss.

Welcome Ben.  Glad you've dunlurking and joined in. If you're as loopy as some of us you'll get addicted to the banter as well as the gardening. I think Learning Slowly is a good name, btw.
