Flobear I hate to say this but there will not be much of a gap between the footy and the olympics. Geoff has promised summer starts on Tuseday, so something to look forward to.

Don't mind Olympics though wouldn't watch wall to wall coverage. Looking forward to the wretched roadworks on the A31 - to allow quick passage of Olympic traffic - being gone.

I'm glad Geoff's on the ball as regards the turning of the seasons. Will he be welcoming the dawn on Midsummer's Day, I wonder. We have a large henge in our region that he could use.

Flobear I am sure that Geoff will be organising a Midsummers Day party, will it be OK if we pop back to yours for a full english breakfast?

Mmm, full english breakfast - not had one of those for a long time! Midsummer party also sounds like a good idea. Will there be druids?

  • sotongeoffsotongeoff Posts: 9,802

There will be all sorts of food- including druids

Ooooo can I come in spite of being AWOL. What is the dress code? Will a white sheet do? Haven't had a druid for a long time.

A white sheet with eye holes cut in it like the ghost in Scooby-do?-sounds perfectly acceptable to meimage

Full English all round, then. I'll look out the big frying pan and start defrosting the druids. I have a few spare sheets if anyone forgets their kit - you won't have to do it in your underwear.

I think the fork'andles are getting to me, kate. I read your post as 'Very heavy rain but overnight sunshine'.

I for one just cannot wait -my life is now one big social whirl.

It has got very windy-not as bad as last week and the rain has mostly held off-there is a sheet on the line that is doing the dance of the seven veils but has not taken off yet
