For the cat-followers out there - I've just taken Twinks to his foster-home. He'll have a lovely time as there are 2 other kittens to play with, lots of food bowls, toys, climbing, sleeping and playing places - and he won't have to stay in a cage for half the day. I'm really sad to part with him, though, I got a bit teary but composed myself fairly quickly ;- )
Flo, I know how you feel. We fostered a pregnant cat about 3 years ago and she produced 4 kittens which we then fostered as well. It was only meant to be until they were weaned but we ended up having them with us for 3 months and it was a big wrench when we took them back to the cat sanctury. Daughter's cat Horace ,was one of the foster kittens and the other 3 were adopted after a week. We even managed to find a home for the mum who was unfortunately named Jellybean ! My friend's daughter took her.
I vowed then, never again, so I give the food and the old towels to someone I know who's a dog walker in the sanctury. Don't trust myself.
You 've done your best and I'm sure Twinks will find a good home.
Kate it was a work room/shed but didn't take as long as I thought it-painting stuff is not my forte it is so tedious.
Did anybody see Paul O'Gradys programme on Battersea Dogs Home?-a couple fostered a dog but bought him back 2 days later as they couldn't cope-the website must explode after these programmes
Trouble with some people who take on a rescue dog - no matter how carefully you check them out - is that they expect it to be grateful and to understand everything they want of it. Un-learning previous behaviour and habits takes time and needs knowledge, skill and patience from the new owner. Unfortunately the attitude 'return faulty goods for an immediate replacement or refund' is a bit too prevalent.

Just about to go out now - will get me coat!
Geoff was that a very small shed?
I have been out in the garden it is not as warm as it looks and there is a gusty wind. Builders are felting the roof so I had to come in.

Flo I am sure that it was sad but at least he is with cat people and will they look for a cat loving home for him?
.. with plenty of mice... and frogs to play with.
Flo, he's a very lucky cat to have found you. You've given him a good srart in life.

Have a nice piece of cake and a cuppa !
Yes, he is up for adoption now as are the other two kittens there.
Funnily enough, Gary, the lady also has pet mice, in a large vivarium, and terrapins in an aquarium so there is plenty to look at!!
Thanks, Pam :- )

Flo gets off soap-box.
