EDIT- My first effort at playingimage

Are you actually talking to us via your Kindle.

Is it one of those that you can read at night.

Does this mean you'll be able to take it to bed with you, and post whenever you wake during the nght, and also post while you're having a lie-in in the mornings.

Very useful too for reading the papers while seated on the loo, I imagine.

Yep and Yep-this is from the PC-still fannying aboutimageimage

I've been toying with getting a tablet. Although I've got my laptop it would be very useful to have a tablet, just to have a backup. I didn't get one before Christmas as I'm hoping prices might come down a little. There's a bewildering range of models, sizes, and manuacturers to choose from. I think the Androids, like Kindle, seem to be the best. The netbooks look interesting too. Not sure how useful it is to have a separate keyboard.

This was on offer at Argos for £99- back to full price nowimage

It seems to do a few tricksimage

£99 for Kindle Fire is very good value. That's the one with full Android operating system - full web access etc. I've been watching the Argos Home Shopping Channel and IdealWorld and the DealChannel. They've all been demonstrating lots of these models, every night.

The model these channels were pushing most heavily over the weekend was the JoyTab, with a separate keyboard, for £199, I think. Though the ones they push tend to be those where they have stock they want to move.

CatchUP TV is a cool app. It's like iplayer, but also covers lots of non-BBC channels too.

The keyboard is a bit fiddly-have sent for a case and stylus pen from e-bay today that should make the use a bit easierimage

It all connects up with web.e-mail etc quite easy
