Big penstemon King George on sale at garden centre for 2.99 today, lots of cutting shoots. Is that a good price?
Hake and samphire at local market today, you don't see either very often around here. We always used to get hake and chips when I was a kid. Just come in from the garden and hubby snoozing on the settee, no potatoes peeled!
Here's a photo of my chickens with their husband. (In his last life he was told he'd come back and have 11 wives so he's quite happy)
You'd don't need a cockeral Becks. that's when you will have a lot of noise. Mine can start before it gets light sometimes, but I like him and he really looks after his girls.
The biggest problem I have is foxes and I would have lost a lot more if it hadn't been for my dog.
Get some ear plugs and encourage Jess. She might turn out to be famous.
How much grass do you actually need for chuckies. PP seems to have quite a lot. I'm surprised the grass is in good condition. I thought thought that chuckies tended to scratch up the grass. I wonder whether they leave little messages for you to step on, and thus bring into the house.
Hello, all--We had an exciting thunderstorm here last night, with a heavy downpour. This morning in the garden everything looked refreshed and smelled wonderful! My dogs are off on their playdate, so I don't have to worry about keeping the gates closed, and can potter to my heart's content. Mulching to do to hang onto the rain's benefit as long as possible; finish the gate, stain and hang it, and one more step to construct. My neighbour gave me two huge pots from the trees she just planted--I just paid the deposit on one; the other was free!

Becks-more comedy gold-more schoolboy humour
You only need a cockerel if you want baby chicks
I have had more guitars than the Shadows but still can't play -was never allowed a drum kit-or fireworks
Ppetal-that sounds about right -go for it-and you need to train hubby
Of course, I did start a chicken thread, even though it seems to have sunk into the depths.
