As part of my budget experience this year -which is still below the £20 markam going back to mixed baskets rather than one plant so there will be a lot of competition-just thinking they would trail rather than climb-this is a bit of an experiment
Great idea regarding gallery thread Geoff, all in one place for all to enjoy, rather than scattered "Willy Nilly" (Oh No! Have mentioned the "Willy" word! What will this bring?)
See all have sap rising! Don't ya just love the anticipation this time of year brings with it!
Bjay , I always find them in the baskets Obviously the birds.
Speaking of birds, spent an ''interesting'' half hour removing the fat ball residue from the ground underneath them. Wish there was a solution to that.

But Jean-you are monster raving loony
I put some odd ones in the hanging baskets but it's a bit of a dilemma . I read that morning glories don't like rich soil or feeding so........
To be honest , I had a few flowers but not that many. The others did far better as I didn't feed.

Mine went skyward and climbed the chains
In all fairness though I just left them to it . Quite liked the effect.
What about Sanvitalia-ever grown that?
I had a sunflower in a hanging basket last year - not on purpose - it looked very strange, but I left it there for novelty.
I want the morning glory to climb up my metal butterflies

You do realise you are never going to live that down !
Felt like that all day today - loads of plants coming through. I always feel like I can sense Spring coming.
