My salad leaves are in containers with fresh compost, I have not feed them though, it has been difficult with all this rain. I will feed them today, thank you.
We're dry at the mo, but awoke to rain & have had showers on & off. Think will risk some washing out if only to save on the elec bill with all the tumbling later.
Tesco been- oops yoghurt forgotten by me, oh well will manage I suppose.
Am going to sow more chard & winter lettuce sometime soon. Then should have something, I hope. The chard usually lasts well into the winter months with the odd harvest of leaves being taken. Looks nice too.
3 pairs of wellies are ready for tomorrow. It'll be soooo crowded in the marquees & so hot that I'm not going to wear waterproof trousers as I can get hot enough very easily without added extras! OH is going to be so grumpy, it's his first time at the show & maybe he wont want to come again? Well that's what daughter said as she set off, in the rain, to meet up with a friend in town.
Off to refill the birdfeeder with chilli powder flavoured seed! The squirrel has obviously been sat inside the cage over the w/end eating it's way through the stuff. Need to get some steps out to un-fix the cage from its hanger- I wired it on to save it being nicked by a bigger squirrel! J.
Well it is a baby pigeon, I have managed to move it from the planter to the garden gate but he does not want to leave, I have come in to see if his mum will come and get him.
I have planted up my last lot of climbing beans, so I hope that you are right about the weather Geoff.

I worry about a dead bird in the garden
When my salad leaves started to go a bit yellow - I gave them a dose of chicken pellets-that works pretty quick-rompimg away again now.
If you catch the bird what will you do with it-that is the worry?
I have chicken pellets, so that should help.
The pigeon is now sitting on top of a container of flowers, 2 other pigeons have come to help.
Throw some breadcrumbs out-see if it is feeding
I am off outside to sort it out, if it stays dry I may be some time
Move away from the pigeon-they are not tasty
Its supposed to stay dry all day today. Lets hope so, I've got lots to do!
