I am having problems with my oxygenators I have had to replace 3now as they are going from bushy healthy plants to sparse & stringy are the tadpoles eating them or is it something sinister hope someone can help as this is costing me a fortune
You need a marginal plant, Lysimachia won't put up with 8inches of water. A nice damp soil at the edge and it will go like mad
I find Lysimachia Alexander is actually quite adaptable where we are. I have some in a fairly dry soil bed, and some on a pond shelf which lies about 6-8" under the surface depending on the weather. Both plants flowered last year and are shooting well this year.
