They are Welsh Poppies come in Yellow and Oranges they like to grow where they want to. Shade they prefer they will grow in the most unlikely places popping their head up between other plants. I have move them successfully on wet days when I find them before flowering. But have not got them to come from the thousands of seeds I have thrown around or have I without realizing it.

Nutcutlet - will do and will put them in the same kind of area as the ones growing in the garage block - in shade with poor soil.
Interestingly Tasker, mine are in shade, in poor soil by a fence under the canopy of a conifer hedge.
Most of mine are in the shade. Those in the sun don't look so good. I have an orange poppy whose name I've forgotten for the sunny dry bits
