Some of my knowledge was learnt from my mum, although she was very green fingered and managed to grow anything from a cutting. I should have listened a lot closer but didnt become interested till a few years ago. I have learnt so much from everyone on here and I am very grateful to you all.

Assuming you grow them in boxes-pots on a window sill or in a greenhouse then once a day just reverse the boxes-pots, 30 seconds is all it takes and I can assure you they will grow straight.

They lean towards the light even when surrounded by light they will lean towards where it is strongest, reversing the trays-pots reverses the lean and equals it out.

Lawn feed and moss control is do it once the grass is growing well then again six weeks later now leave it alone. In Autumn use one dusting of winter weed and feed.

I have it has a hobby and a job, my dad a gardener and my mum keen as well.  i have been going to work with my dad since i was 4 years old. I used to follow him round while he mowed people lawns with my plastic lawn mower image.

I also used to try and grow apple trees when i was 4-5 years old, my mum/dad used to leave them outside in the winter and i never see them again image. then one day i got a apple tree for my birthday 6 years old ( still got the tree - apple crumbleimage ) so in other words i have grown up around gardening.

Work with my dad since i left school dong basic garden maintenance but over the years got more and more fascinated with growing things which is more of a hobby to me.

I love to do some courses on horticultural but i am work bound in the summer and the collages are miles away. Books are great for learning more, i like the DR D G hessayon book.
