Try Paw Paw, sometimes spelled Pau Pau
Pau Pau seems too elongated and has less seeds
It looks like a pomegranate in how the inner berries sit in the skin, but Ive never seen one with such large black seeds.
Andrew, can you just eat apples next time, we know what they are!
OK,
Ignore all my previous photos...so sorry.
This is the fruit. It's called Cherimoya or Chirimoya,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherimoya
It has the nick name of the, 'ice cream fruit'
In case we ever come across one - is it worth eating?
It had an excellent taste, very sweet.
I will sow the seeds that I have and keep you informed,
Thanks - that'll be interesting
I bought a durian fruit in Australia to try. Its called the vomit fruit because the smell is disgusting We had to keep it in the outside refrigerator because of the smell. It tastes lovely I thought, the segments were rather like custard.
