Ivy??? you've got ivy too??? - we had ivy up to the eaves and 7ft wide on each fence - the weight of it brought the fences down  in a rainstorm!!!

But we've got rid of the ivy and the Russian Vine and the soapwort only creeps through from next door when I let it - I was out there attacking it yesterday!!!

If you're not my neighbour then the person who lived at your house before you must be cloned from the person who lived here!!!

My garden was all landscaped, it would never look like this does. Abandoned is the only was to describe it image

I look like a plonker thanks to my mate telling me thats the plant, after 20 years youd think he knows, good news though, the bit on the fence has grown some leaves.

Iv never seen it growing so this is a first for me to.

He is positive its never flowered.

New picture, slap for him later

I think it's Parthenocissus quinquefolia, it's big but I think if you cut it down and hack at the roots you'll be able to get it out. You can get stuff to drill and inject into the stump

Il keep an eye on it and take a picture once it starts to move again, its not a bad looking thing with leaves apparently but it weighed enough to split the beams under the tiles image

I need to find the roots, garden has slabs down which are being taken up soon so il dig it up then.

I thought it looked like a creeper.  The neighbour has one growing up her back wall, but it isn't that vigorous.  Perhaps due to a small footing.

Amazing plants that can grow that rapidly.  My hops go from nothing to a dense cover very quickly, but they are manageable.

I keep pulling down what is a wild vine in my garden.  I assumed it was some wild honey suckle, that's a little out of control.
