We have two old cats, 15 and 14. They lived most of their lives in a tiny apartment and love it in the big house. In the summer, when we work in the garden, we take them regularly with us in the garden. Bianca, the blond one, thinks they should hoover the garden before they put anything living in it... Ferry, the grey one, likes to chase the mice who do nothing but laugh at him.
I'm not a cat lover (why am I reading this thread, you ask) it's because I wondered if you are all aware on the danger of lily pollen. http://www.noliliesforcats.com/faq1.pml
Now I wonder if you could ask them nicely to STOP fouling my garden.
Okay, okay, I know all about the free spirit etc, etc......but pleeese ask them anyway.
Just came home shame faced after taking my London feral cat Bluebell to the vet. I warned them that she bites and scratches and to wear gloves, she was in for a blood test. 10 mins later the vet came out with her hand bitten and the nurse had a 6 inch deep gouge out of her arm. I was mortified. I have to take her back in tomorrow to have the blood test under sedation. Oops.
Lou12, I like your cats! They are gorgeous. And if they are that nervous at the vet, see if they will accept drinking water mixed with a strong ginger tea up to 24 hours in advance. It won't do any harm, but will chill your feline friend in advance. They are cute!
