Hi friendly cat folk, in light of the sadly all too regular posts which suggest some awful and cruel methods of deterring our feline companions, I thought I'd revisit this much nicer and happier thread and say I hope all of your kitties are safe, happy and healthy...and don't have the misfortune of living next door to folk with cat issues!
Here here Tootles I love our feline friends and still miss my moggy, I can't understand why anyone would want to harm animals even if it is unpleasant cleaning up after them
In that case here's a recent pic of my most irritating cat Willow who has cost the insurance company £2500 in the last 18 months with various boo boos.
This time he cut his leg open, I suspect on my neighbours barbed wire fortified bird table, but it was his own fault for stealing food and being an idiot...
Barbed wire on a bird table......OMG I'm speechless. It's not his fault, it is instinct and they don't know any different, it is in their nature to hunt food and get it wherever they can, good job I'm not their neighbour
He looks very cute by the way, like my Smudge who is in Kitty heaven
What a little ball of mischief Willow looks! Hope he is on the mend. I agree though, what kind of person outs barbed wire on a bird table?? We have a pheasant that is always on our bird table. I dread to think what damage barbed wire could do to feathered friends, let along kitties or kiddies.
Sorry to hear that your Smudge is in kitty heaven Orchid. I bet Smudge is enjoying a big bowl on tuna with new kitty pals up there x
He wouldn't have been after the birds- he has no strength, speed or ability. The neighbours probably put out a jam tart or something.
I understand though- they don't want to feed my cat anymore than I want him to fill up on jam tarts before tea.
The birds obviously have more sense re the barbed wire, although if it was my bird table I'd probably have a flamingo stuck on the wire and the rspb at the door within 10 mins.

Jam tarts....for birds?? It gets worse and they deserve everything that Willow leaves them
Also they really are nice neighbours
if I put jam tarts on mine, I'm pretty sure I'd find my other half sitting up there chomping away!
