In a shameless bid to vie for Verdun's attention i would like to announce that the chocolate cake has just come out of the oven (chicklet has a bday 2morrow) - will post pics when it is decorated - request was for LOTS of chocolate .... I aim to please
Artjak, Fairy, Dove, Max and Paul, gerrof, he said he loved me best. Well last I heard, anyway
Verdun, Much envy, I thought you had eyes only for my yorkie puds, you naughty fickle person, you! Will perrrrfect crackling win you back? or maybe I could tempt you with a rather cheeky Garlic Lancashire Tasty cheese, very exclusive, that has a teeny bite, with a wee spot of wild boar pate, on a (sorry to spoil it by being a philistine, More reasons stopped stocking the bestest crackers ever, the buggers) Tuc cracker? with the teensiest weensiest home pickled silverskins, so tart and with a bouquet that is fruity yet has overtones of , oooh, perhaps, balsamic vinegar with perhaps, oh, yes, a hint of, ooo, maybe, onion?
If not, then S** O**. If only a cake will buy your affection, then I'm not for sale and not playing anymore. I'm rubbish at sweet stuff (as this post may make obvious!)
however, my boys made these Sunday
Minty mice (and rats!) quite nice too, if a bit sickly for those of us without a sweet tooth. Muchly like Kendal Mint Cake but softer.
Anyway, you bunch of old reprobates! A nice young man, newcomer to our forum, posts a delightfully complimentary thread about how much you have helped with gardening advice, and how friendly and welcoming you all are, and you promptly bombard him with fights over food and cake, yous.
I thought we already had plenty of threads on which to deal with this obsession! Did you all really have to show your hands quite so soon? I'm sure you could have left poor Paul to find out for himself that You are not quite the helpful gardening gurus that he thought he had signed up to obtain advice from I am very upset at the whole lot of you.By not controlling yourselves, I am sure that you must have chased this poor young man away, and so lost any chance we may have had of obtaining his Coffee and Walnut cake recipe
Paul, can I pm you for it? just me, don't tell the others, puhleeeese our little secret.
Oh lord. It is not yet 7am and I am drooling. GJ, I LOOOOOVVVEEEE you. I can't offer you any food because I'm a rubbish cook, but I can make your heart melt with a picture of our new puppy. Does that get me any of your crackers?
