Bit like you weather wise Frank my side of The Styx, did have a hail shower this morning as I was coming back from taking the dog out but didn't last long, not very warm today either at 3.5c and a very naughty Westerly wind that cuts right through, last rays of sunshine breaking through the clouds
Just had a hellish hail shower, boy did they hurt the head real hard they came down would happen while I was out with the dog then it stopped as we were coming back typical dropping down now to 1.2c, and according to the weather men this "Beast from the West" front is not going to be as bad as they thought as it's veered away from us but it's still going to be cold with freezing fog, think I would rather have that than snow
Stockton, bright sunny and no frost, the plus side of living with one foot in the North Sea "Rain" cool in summer warmer in winter. My Son in the Vale of York has heavy frost.
Trying again! North Cumbria; woke up to a white winterscape. Had a very heavy frost and to the south the lake district hills look white with snow as do parts of the pennines to the east. Still although bitterly cold it is not raining and the sun is actually shining so aim to make the most of it although no way to get out onto the garden and dig as the ground is frozen solid and according to the weather forecast will remain like that for some time. Hey ho!

Nippy and damp in the Fens, but it isn't as cold as it could be for December.

A very nippy morning in the Fens, fabulous sunrise, thick frost on the gate.

Fog is slowly encroaching lower down the hills and they are now invisible. Think it's freezing fog but am not going outside to find out!
Mist or fog in the distance, getting closer, here in Norfolk.
