Does anyone know where you can actually buy the seeds for Nemesia Wisley Vanilla?

  • @ ian marshall

Yes they can be divided. I overwintered a pot of Nemesia Wisley vanilla in the garage, split it in two during the first week of May and both pots are now coming on nicely.

I have looked everywhere for seeds but can't find them anywhere. Any joy with the seeds you collected? If so I will try that this/next year.

Tim O'Toole, I have Nemisia Wisley Vanilla bought from a local Garden Centre in Somerset. They've been in the garden for over 3 years and flower profusely throughout the summer and into Autumn. I cut out all the dead flowers in late winter, feed the ground with fish, blood and bone and this seems to work well for them. To my mind they are a fairly hardy perennial.

  • I left my nemesia in a pot outside over winter. Didn't water or cover it then was amazed to find it starting to grow again this spring. So assume it is hardier than expected. Have divided it up and all new clumps are thriving well.

  • ref nemesia wisley vanilla, a good place to buy is gordon riggs near todmorden. they stock quite a few different types
