Saturday bump; was v. cold this morning, so all the plants that I'm hardening off couldn't go out first thing. Am just off to turn a pile of old turfs into loam (just like thatimage)

Just had the first proper rain for weeks; hope there is now a bit of water in the butts to deal with all these seedlingsimage

Yes, it's rained here as well (Bath,Somerset). first rain since 6th April so it was sorely needed. Thinking I could do a rain dance in the front garden but best probably not in the nude!

I'm taking daughter back to Devon tomorrow, so if we've room in the boot, hope to drop some more plants into Andrew on the way down.

My Solomon's Seal has just popped up which will love all this rain. I've replanted it up on a 4 ft wall, in a line behind a small box hedge with the idea that it will (hopefully) sway over the top when in bloom and also create a more secluded seating area. The reality is that something will eat it before that happens!

Solomons seal on a 4 foot wall will be nicely placed for spotting and picking off sawfly larvae Lizzie

Potted up yet more to take to Somerset. Think I will stop now so plants can put on some growth and settle into the pots.image
