Its a bit of a rubbish pic actually, I'll take a better one tomorrow.  It's a climbing red rose, always gives me loads of flowers and looks beautiful.

This one might look better, with my lavender image

The white Cosmos was meant to be pink so I was a bit disappointed but do think it look every pretty.  Next year I'm going to grow pink and white image

I'm definitely getting pink or pink and white, would love to see them BM, they sound pretty. This year's were free so I think that's why the colour may have been wrong on the packet, I was just trying to use seeds I had to see how I did without spending too much image

Just been sat outside enjoying glass of wine with OH next to the lavender (our BBQ and patio is next to that) and it smelt gorgeous image

Hi all sorry it's a late post tonight. Been busy in the garden getting the raised planter ready to accept some flowers for the rest of the summer.

Although we will be using this bed mostly for veg next year it will serve its purpose this year At least.

    the planter is 6ft x 6ft x 2ft wide x 2ft deep

Hi folks, some fab piccies and the slideshow was amazine, ive grown a white cosmos this year for the first time, I got it to fill a space left by a lupin that got much too big for its boots.  I have to say the cosmos has been great, Im going to grow some from seed for next year.  Like the look of that raised bed too. One fo the things I really like at Hampton Court this year was the way they had planted a raised bed alongside a conservatory with quite tall flowers that you could see from inside.  The side I would want to plant is in the shade for most of the day any ideas for plants folks,  I think foxgloves would do well there, quite like the idea of some grasses but anything else would need to be colourful.
