High forester 2 The pear tree was a Woolworth wonder at £5.00. Had it about 15 years but I think the growing tip was probably cut out so it has stayed pretty small. it is a Conference pear and last year had 42Lb of pears off it. My husband likes the pear chutney that I make from a lot of the harvest. I also make a pear and almond tart that he likes. I can put the recipes up If any one would like them.
Wow, you have got a lot crammed in there Ecobaby, and it looks very healthy. I should be able to grow peppers in France, but they are never very good. Probably don't water them enough.
I'm jealous too, puncdoc. Can't grow meconopsis with limestone and summer heat here. Admired them at Forde Abbey on holiday.

Everyone - I'm breathless...and joining those envious forumers.
Jealous smiley - but for first time I've noticed the smileys now have descriptions when you hover over them - this one is 'sick' - I'll use it as envy but also 'sick' in the teenage sense of the word (meaning good - don't ask how that makes any sense!)
