Ok, so no Asters for now, wait until the first has gone.

Plant the others that nut said and keep them in the greenhouse until we take it down then put them outside but any bad weather (wind or rain), pop them in the garage but ok with frost.....correct? I think I'm going to have a busy weekend...smiley face image

When you say deny the Echinacea flowering verdun, what do you do, remove any flower buds that appear?

    Thanks guys and girls image

Ok, I will attempt to grow them from seed and see how I get on. Planting everything at weekend and not going in the garage, let's hope they are tough little Northern plants imageimage

One more thing, do I need to move the seedlings into bigger pots or can I plant the seeds into paper pots I am going to make and plant them straight in the garden? I am rubbish at transplanting (I think that's what it's called) so this would be a better option to stop me killing them! image

Hi Tracey, You need to prick them out after that

Try youtube. Pricking out seedlings. and potting on.

The verbena and delphinium should flower this year and can go in the garden when they're big enough.

I think it was Verdun suggested I keep my one echinacea in the cold GH last winter. I did and it survived but I haven't dug it up again this winter. If it doesn't want to live it can do the other thing.
