Flumpy1 I am sure your flowers are not growing sideways! I think they may give us a crick in the neck. The poached egg plants are OK however. You have lots of colour there. I have worked all day in the garden, mainly weeding my limestone chipping path which is half cleared now, but this seems to be the end of the good weather for now. I have ordered some gazania plants to put in containers - love them.
Ahh, I have just enlarged your pics and the site rights them. Loads of slug pellets but no sign of slug damage so they must be working. My garden is in equilibrium ecologically speaking so the birds, frogs, hedgehogs do slug control.
Yes sorry about the sideway pictures, I'm new at taking pictures on my new tablet, when I took the pictures they where the right way up, but when I sent them to this site they ended up sideways , do you know how you correct them?
Marion - just wanted to say have a great time at Longstock (look out for the blue poppies even if the waterlillies aren't out yet). My Father in law spent the war years on the Longstock estate - they had to evacuate children from the south coast - first in line for an invasion. And at Mottisfont the Constance Spry should also be in full bloom - my favourite rose. Enjoy
I do not have a tablet either so can be no use here. Thank you, Chicky. I think the water lilies will be out but the weather forecast for Wednesday is cold again and wet! Ah well, winter clothes I think. It rained a bit in Bristol last night but dry now and for most of the day so should get more path cleared and sweet peas into big pots for my Bristol in Bloom display in July- August. I will plant out one more acer and use its pot.
Oh dear. it bucketed down in Bristol this afternoon. Luckily I had worked in the garden all morning and had come in for a late lunch so did not get drenched. Same type of weather for tomorrow and then heavy rain on Wednesday. Perhaps it will be while we are in the coach going to Hampshire and coming home!

The site likes you, Marion! I enlarged Flumpy's photos and they stayed sideways.

Someone told me it depends which way round you hold the tablet, but I don't have a tablet.
