    Hugh, I hope when you get rid of the worms, your turf becomes waterlogged and dies because they're no longer making aerating tunnels under your grass.

    I live near the coast and soil is quite sandy so hopefully waterlogging won't occur????

    Oh dear a garden without worms and nature just kill everything in sight pour chemicles and washing up liquid everywhere lovely a sterile garden no plants no life APOCALYPSE. Pardon my pun but sod the grass

  • Oh for goodness sake people get a grip !!! I am not suggesting an 'Apocalypse', I'm only looking for a sensible solution to what I view as a gardening problem.

    I view the eating of aphids by hoverfly larvae a problem , so I'm going to kill them . 

    What an arse, it thinks it's a problem when everyone with more than one brain cell realises it's an asset.
