It was the 'polar bear' silver birch I nearly got in spring, chunkier branches than most.
Yes, that's a lovely tree, I like B. ermanii, I really wanted to go native so sacrificed some predictability for natural variation but some of mine are really not very white which is a shame but I suppose the duller ones make the whiter ones shine out more.
