I note that some of you have mentioned mirrors which can cause birds to fly into them which is not good for their health - please reconsider if you like your wildlife.

Tracey-Newbie the the one on the right cost £7.99 from B&M local store the other one £14.99 from Dobbies. Got the primroses from a G/C for a £1 each in a sale happy how they look one of the girls i work with wants me to make her one.

  • Tracey have a look in charity shops for odd cups and saucers, did a couple myself last year to put on the garden table.

  • Star gaze lily, what do you do about drainage in the teacups, they look fabulous.

Was that hellebore really that purple, star gaze Lily?

  • More truly wonderful shots posted here today.....many thanks for sharing them.

KEF, I'm really impressed by how your looking at picture composition more closely now. image

Btw, it was the 'wheelbarrow' at Barnsdale that prompted me to take that shot.....in fact, I can say that garden staff were working just off camera.

I was rather chuffed to have captured all my shots  (in spite of the gardens being fairly busy with visitors)  without anyone being in them.

Good point I grow. A bird flew into my window yesterday. He seemed fine and just took off again but it really upset me.

  • As we know, not many of us bother to print our pictures anymore, we just seem to  store them in our PCs for personal consumption or share them via email or as we do here.

However, I do like to share my prints (particularly family ones) sometimes. Never being impressed with inkjet printer results, I bought myself a Canon 'Selphy' CP900 dedicated photo printer. Easy to use, laboratory quality prints, can print WiFi and reasonably priced......I am extremely pleased with it.

Depends on how and where the mirrors are sited I think. Big ones would be an issue but I've used them before without any problem. I've had more problems with birds flying into the windows, including an owl which left it's imprint on my daughter's smallish bedroom window image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
