David K.....all my photos are taken with either a compact or my phone. I have considered getting an SLR but decided I never do anything with the pictures i take so not worth it. Maybe i will invest in one oneday.....for the present time I leave the 'proper' photography to my daughter who is studying it at uni.
Steeplhill, I like the Dale Chihuly stuff, I went to the exhibition at Kew.but because I had been unable to travel in a car for long (whiplash), we went on the last day,and they were already dismantling it. I think the chandeliers look like they have been made out of kids modelling balloons. I thought I might buy a piece until I saw the prices in the shop. Something else for the lottery winners list.
star gaze lily......I have put together some really easy to follow intstructions on loading pics. if you want me to send a copy, let me know and I will email it to you

Something a bit different this time, a picture of a star forming region known as the Cocoon nebula taken with my Canon 350D attached to my telescope:
This is the equivalent of approx. a 3 hour exposure (actually 38 five minute exposures combined by a process known as 'stacking'.)
