Posted a pic watering my runner beans last summer, but the text seems to have disappeared in transit....just wanted to post something cheerful from last year's beautiful summer.

I thought you were suggesting I have a cold shower to calm  myself down David ! image

Come to DK Towers for a cold shower....the bluddy boiler engineer has just told me that 'they've sent the wrong parts' and he will have to re-order  and the job will not be done until sometime next week.  image image

David get angry with those t***s and hope this might cheer you a teeny, tiny bit.

  • I'm aware this isn't a chat thread, but feel I must update you on the boiler saga....I'll try to keep it as brief as I can.

I should say here that whilst not being a 'boiler engineer', I do quite a lot of DIY and have a fair idea of plumbing, electricity (and a modicum of common sense) etc and how they work.

Having listened to the 'engineers' explanation of why the parts he ordered didn't fit, I noticed that a steel plate at the base of the boiler wasn't fitted as I would have thought (upside down to be precise) and if he reversed it I could imagine things (screw holes etc) would be  where they should be.

To cut a long story short, I have a fully functioning central heating system again.

     Sheeeesh!!!! imageimageimage
