It was a freezing but sunny, January day last year. I wanted to capture the moment and by using and black & white and including the togged-up walkers, who I hoped would help convey the scene......hope that makes sense.
David - that reminds me of a Dave Allen joke. A man goes to Hell, and finds it very different from what he expects. He's shown a large area where everyone is submerged in sewage up to their necks. He asks the man why it's like that, and not the fire and brimstone he thought it would be.
The man says 'it was Satan's idea. And every Sunday, he goes water skiing'....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
