    Cheeky Chaffinch.

  • Sorry for the delay image I thought those burfday flower shots were great, KEF...especially when enlarged.

     There you go, Rb. image

  • Thanks, Rb...although I preferred the first one inasmuch as I wanted to show off the lovely feathers.

Either ways, it's a triumph in itself if the little bugg'rs don't fly off as soon as you pick the camera up. image

Love the chaffinch photos, I've yet to get a decent picture of a small bird by the time I've zoomed in and found the subject it has flown. Last Summer I nearly got heat stroke standing in the GH waiting for a subjectimage

  • Lovely flowers and pics Kef.

    Love the birdie pics David.

    Very interesting pictures Charley image

    Enjoy them Runny image

  • Really nice shots, Charlie....especially enlarged.

Yellow crocus especially a favourite of mine.

  • On a photographic note, I would just like to say, that as I had mentioned a little while ago about camera aperture sizes and their relevance to focus, take a look at Charlie's first crocus picture. While the foreground is in focus, the background is blurred. I would say this is deliberate and is achieved by choosing a wide aperture setting...something like f2.8.

For all the flowers to be in focus, probably a *smaller setting such as f16 would be a good choice.

*As if to complicate matters, the larger the f number, the smaller the aperture & vice versa.
