Interesting maureen, I had a get a second opinion. It is a blackbird and looks more like one in the photo than it did in life. Very grey in appearance and the beak looks out of proportion to me
Kef no hotel not mine. The whitewater hotel was converted many years ago from the Dolly blue works.IT sits on the outflow from lake Windermere river leven which runs into Morecombe bay. Holiday properties have been built along the river leven all part of whitewater complex.

I thought Nut's bird was a young female blackbird but it's true it seems to have a longer beak than the norm. Who's normal anyway?
