Nice pic of St Michael's Mount from Marazion Causeway James, You say from an external hard drive - is it a pic you took yourself? I love the way the sky is reflected in the surf. John H
Yes John I took it my self I had just received the ND filters and was dieing to try them out as that's what I bought them for this holiday taken with my Pentax K20
Hi James, here's one I took on 16.Oct. 2011 on my old Panasonic G1. Not as atmospheric as yours though. That's the one thing the G1 could do that my new TZ40 cannot - take a range of filters; but its got me thinking, maybe I could make a filter holder that would fit on the tripod mount under the camera and sit in front of the lens.
Crossed that many moons ago James when there on holiday- tide was coming in and I wasn't feeling too brave!
I'm relieved that this is the pic you found to post -was getting worried when you said you'd look on your office pc for images....
John- nice to see you back! Did you watch the programme recently about Bodnant? I remember sitting on that lily pond edge when I was little. Parents took us to Wales on holiday one year. I'd totoally forgotten it till I did a design course and there was a pic of the pond. It was very weird as I remembered it quite clearly.
Lovely photo.
This is Tolmount (right in the middle) taken from Glen Callater. The 'back' of the hills at Lochnagar are over to the left of this bit. It was dazzling because of the ice. It was February 2009 if I remember correctly. We came back another day to do those!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hi Fairygirl, No, I didn't get to see the programme on Bodnant sadly, I've been tied up with all sorts of things and even the garden has got a bit neglected untill this week. I retired from being a master locksmith and running my own company in Feb. 2011 and now I know what everyone means after retiring from work when they say "I don't know how I found the time to go to work!"
I sowed some winter spinach earlier this month and now they are about 2" high the dreaded Vine Weevil grubs are feasting on them Grrr! (see my post on 'What's eating my winter spinach')
Have managed to clear the new greenhouse yesterday and go over it with Jeyes Fluid solution, then have started cleaning the glass before re-assembling the staging that I removed to the shed after planting out the tomatoes.
Eileen has been busy cutting back the Montana Clematis (I'm not sure what the variety is but it has very small white flowers) that had spread all over the garden wall trellis-work - we were getting soaked when walking past it after rain as the path is narrow and it had spread all over it.
