Just taken this pic especially for this thread. This is a pruning knife belonging to my granddad, who was head gardener for one of the pottery moguls of the day, during the late 1800s
My grandad didn't have a garden just a yard but every year he would buy my grandma ( or at least he said he bought) a huge pot of chrysanthemums to brighten it up....... I do remember visiting in the summer and on hot nights he would spread a bed sheet over the washing line like a tent and we would have a tea party. When he passed mum gave me the teapot oh and his home made crinkle chip cutter ( which is te best over) nice to remember those times
