A warning to those who are lazy b*****s like me, dont forget your staking. I was wandering around this morning, planing what needed to be done, and then I saw it, a prostrate Delphinium. It has been on my list for weeks, stake Delphiniums. It is now up right again, but looking like a trussed up chicken.
Clari, I think there is a Yorkshire bug going round, I have been abit lacking in energy for a few days. Of course being a Yorkshire bug it will be a very virulent one, that would totally disable soft southerners.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Not lazy pukdoc im sure, just experimenting with a new way of growing!
Does that mean those of us in the midlands would only get half disabled? Never mind we could always get rid of it by asking it to pay for something!!!!!
I'm not so sure PunkDoc. Being a Yorkshire bug it might be the kind of bug to march up to the borders and... stay in Yorkshire whilst gesticulating heavily. What we have is special - can't do with sharing it around with anyone outside. A Yorkshire bug would explain the lack of snotty noses that normally accompany bugs - can't be doing with having to spend money on tissues!
Now if it was a Scottish bug.. that would would wipe out the Southerners and lay waste to the tissue factories.
Right, must take a leaf out of FBs book and get the 16yearold out of bed (too busy gardening to bother going upstairs and no bacon sandwich making, wonder what I'll come up with...). Your surfer dude sounds delish ,FB, can I borrow him? Oh not sure what for, maybe just to sit on the sofa in place of a cushion...
Garden took ages to water, started with phostrogen in watering cans, ran out of that so went onto Epsom salts in spray, too difficult/lazy/frustrating, changed to ep salts in watering can, just taking ages and ages so ended up throwing (ok sprinkling) it on the plants and under them in the soil and hosing really well. Not sure it was a good plan but hope it won't do any harm. Need to reorganise planting so there are dry areas I don't need to water or feed...
Off to but more phostrogen and more hoop type bamboo stakes which are becoming my favourite. Previously just used sticks from the garden and string.

You have mail Mrs G!!
Use him as a cushion and waste those muscles when he could be working up a sweat digging you a new vegetable patch?! What a waste!
MrsGarden, that is bonkers.......why on earth would you waste that on a sofa.....get him mowing the lawn while we take a diet coke break me thinks
See OL gets the idea. Young people are meant to be worked!! Don't you have hedges to maintain? Lawns to be trimmed? Beds to be dug?
Are we the only ones not on top of our gardening OL if others can lounge around with sofas??
