Evening all please imagine me skipping with joy right now I have ecinecea growth on the raspberry ripple hhhhuuuuuuzzzaaaaaahhhhhh......... Tidied the herb bed up a bit .... Does anyone know with monarda I have a mass of leaves around the base do I pull some up? Do I leave then? What do I do with the clump of them......
Evening all. Its been a busy few days here so just caught up on all the news. Its taken two days to catch up to this point.
Dove - hope you had a lovely day out.
Hope unwell people are better
PD sounds like you've had a productive day.
Stacey - agree - i've gained so much knowledge and have been using some of the online GC recommendations to get some different plants.
LOs and I managed to plant out 10 seed trays of our Hardy annuals and less tender veg. Chilli's are looking good - although not convinced we will need 12 plants!
Clari- think you mentioned the extra snowdrops you got. I was really pleased to have a few extra. I bought 100 and hadn't really thought how many I need. I'll be buying some more next year as don't think I have enough!
Lovely day, more weeding and splitting up of snowdrops. But soil is heavy and wet still, even after all the years of compost and manure I've added to it. Some bits aren't so bad. Found old mole tunnels, some years moles have been a real pest in the flowerbeds.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Well, today turned out nice, which was a shame as I was indoors at work
Pa under gardener came and did the grass. Left the cuttings behind though so OH under gardener has offered to rake it up tomorrow so I don't traipse grass through the house Only lost one daff to the lawn mower cable so can't be bad, and the snowdrops are all still in one piece! Hurrah!
Garlic bread and mac cheese for tea tonight - yummy
