Hi everyone, beautiful day here, been out all day so far, my garden is much tidier than my house!

otnorot but just call me Bill wrote (see)

Just when you learn how to garden really well, you're too old to do it anymore

Just sitting here waiting for the 10 to 15 c of snow the weather man promised we will get today.
    Bill

Great comment Bill, I don't envy you your weather, is that normal for the time of year for you?

Hi Mrs Garden, I got a Clematis, a perennial Sweet Pea and a Jasmine in Morrisons last year for £2 and they're all thriving, must get down there and have a look.

Welcome Steve, I'm fairly new here, everyone is great, they have helped me out no endimage

Just having a cuppa and catching up. I sat outside having  lunch today then sowed some lettuce before going back to work. Got up to 11 degrees -positively summery for here! It makes such a difference when you get a bit of nice weather. Bill - you must be wondering if - never mind when - that will ever happen image

Hope you and Mrs Bill are doing ok .

Had to laugh this morning - 'gardeners' turned up to cut the grass at the house opposite at 8am.  The grass is virtually non existent and everything was white anyway because of the frost. Might as well have burned their money....image Mine needs cut but I'll leave it till the ground's a bit drier. It's looking quite healthy and was very pretty with the frost today - all sparkly.

Will go and get my laundry in now and enjoy it's lovely smell image

    I really must get more...

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Its here and getting deeper,it still looks nice to see everything covered with white. This is known as a late snow storm, and I hope its the last ,temperatures should start to go up very slowly from now on.

Thanks Ashleigh, may pop in to morrisons for  a small purchase or several - will have lots of room to go at initially so room for 'failure' or to move laterimageany excuse.

Fairy, arggh - wanted to comment on something but you are on the other page and now I cant remember or go back without loosing what I've already typed ( would be quicker to do just that than all this typing I've just doneimage)

FG - like the story about the frosty grass cut, did they go ahead and try to cut it anyway? I'm also leaving mine for a good while yet.

Hi Bill, snow does have it's advantages, looks nice and you can't see what needs doing.  Hope you are snug & warm. When do you get your Spring / Summer? Geography not my strong point. I do know when I've been to Caribbean in Feb/ March some Canadian people were going home to temps that would kill me. Obviously it's a huge place and I didn't chat to learn where they lived just listened to their conversations image

Just had Atlas out are you near Niagra falls ?  Don't want you to say exactly where you live. Blown away by the size of your country. Thought Yorkshire was big.  image So glad you are still posting. x

    List of what I haven't / can't do.

Well fed up. After shuffling around SM I  perched on our nice warm metal bench image and thought I'll make a few notes. Huh! image  OH duly done his things bless him. He might be on spud duty tomoz'.

Lesson to all, as Verdun said, slowly, slowly catch a monkee...image

Think I might have some Punkdoc remedy with my pizza & salad.

Oh they cut it MrsG - all 1 inch of it  - it's all moss! image

They'll have done more damage walking around it on it with their big boots than anything else. That's the problem with these guys. They'll just go ahead if they're being paid to do it - regardless of the actual conditions.

I have relatives in Vancouver KEF - on the west coast of Canada. Their weather is like a magnified version of the Scottish Highlands - warmer, colder, snowier depending on the season - just 'bigger' in every way! image It's a beautiful place though. No wonder my Aunt never wanted to come back to London!

Evening all, turned out nice in the end and I got quite a lot done. I am surprised that my soil seems in fairly good shape despite the flooding.

As well as the goldcrest, I saw my first buttterfly of the year, a small tortoiseshell, very nice.

Right better go and cook tea, as the boss is on her way home.

Hope everyone had a good day, mine is a glass of red KEF.
