Had a lovely B & S lunch after church in a friend's garden. Sat and chatted. Beautiful day 27°. Feel tired, tried to sleep on the swinging seat but too many birds singing, insects buzzing, dog snuffling about etc. But having a lazy day.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Storm clouds coming in from the west - don't think I'll get all the toms potted up  but I must do a few more as I've just emptied a bag of compost into the barrow - but I must have a cool drink first - this heat is so clammy image

Sounds like a lovely day BL- especially after your hard graft yesterday. Have to go back out and collect daughter from a friend image At least it's not  what chicky's got to do ..image

Washed my car and moved a few plants and did bits and bobs but I'm a bit weary. I'm having a wee sit down too Panda but with a cup of tea  image

Just removed a large stand of Kerria Japonica so time to fire-up the shedder!  I've been wanting to get rid of that beast for years but kept putting it off which was a mistake - bloody stuff spreads by underground runners.  Glyphosate at the ready for the expected regrowth!  image

I've just hacked the rhodie at the front door Bob - could have done with a shredder for that too. It's way too big for the spot and needed  a good haircut even if it means less flowers next year. It's had a feed and water but I'm  still considering getting rid of it image

I've got a load of field maple for the shredder but a bit more to cut yet. It's trying to get in the shed.

3 gardens visited today and artjak joined me on the last one. Great singing as well as garden
