Met FIL for some shopping, took 2.5 hours, as didnt have essentials at his ultra cheap shop.

Also went to farm for eggs so looking forward to them, although got  extra large so no idea how long to boil them for!

Now am the owner of some cubed venison image, think I'll shove it in the slow cooker tomorrow with some gravy, oh and some red wine (any excuse to open a bottle). Any advances on this recipe?

Horrid day still, I'm like you KEF, being a mardy bum. Fancy coming over and using mums best sheets as a sledge on the stairs? (oh those childhood memories of wet cold holidays).

  • Hello everyone...

..doubt I'll get chance to read all these thousands of forum messages, but I've decided to log on, change my password, update my email address and see what GW is up to...

I've been a member for many years but never ventured on the forum when I initially registered, then I stopped using the whole website due to other interests..... I tend to read books & mags on gardening, but maybe the truth is I've neglected my gardening duties and fallen out of love with it for a few years to persue other interests..... but now have taken an interest again after our neighbour replaced part of the fencing.  We helped with costs and labour (getting dirty ourselves)... I painted new fencing (a real love of mine, adore the smell of new wood) image with a NEW green fence colour...rather than the dark Forest Green I've used for many years, I found a softer hue called Evergreen in a much cheaper brand, probably similar to Woodland Green in certain brands.  So with new fencing came new planting, which forced me to split up some large ferns to make many more clumps...fronds have regrown and unfurled, the fresh green shoots look fab agaisnt the Evergreen hue. Happy! image

Anyhow I take it many people use the forum when it's been a bad few days (or is it a week now!?) of constant rain...as mentioned by KEF...I'm bored also image image... I seem to have to urge to do more jobs in the house when it's sunny out , as I anticipate I can go out to enjoy garden anytime soon when warm...buuuuuttt knowing I can't go outside to do ouwt I seem to never get on very well and do a lot of sighing!  Even though I have a Mount Etna pile of ironing and work on PC to take care of I'm fed up...funny old world.

I'm waiting to receive a Sentry Box Shed, but the one I chose had a 7wk delivery time....stupid me should have ordered two, as there were different width, styles...maybe I ought to sneak another order in...as my particular shed is not due till end of June...how can I wait so long?!?!?  Before I use it I want to paint it in two beautiful garden shades to give it a country vintage look....knowing my luck it will be raining.....ggrrr!!

Oh well best get on with work and look forward to perusing site on another rainy day now I've rediscovered GW.com
