Oh, the're really hardy and theyre good broody hens, so you can get them to hatch eggs too if you have a cockerel, or if you buy some fertile eggs to increase your flock.
If I was having hens again they're what I'd have - but I've just ordered two more raised beds, so I really don't have the room now
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks Dove - I've written it down on my phone now. Will have to see what my partner says although its possibly a little early to be choosing! (Still he needs to know what size they'll be so he can plan the coop right?! )
Who said gardening was a relaxing pastime? Not me, worn out again.
Campari time might come early today & won't be Campari
When home I've planted 3 Cosmos purity out in garden and will see how they go on. Rest still in pots.
No rain as yet but some due, haven't watered so if it doesn't happen I'll do veg tomoz'.
Clari (soz you can get me at playtime) but my experience of a neighbour with chickens is they ming. Guess due to lack of care & attention. Plus you need someone to look after them when you have jollies.
I do G.pig duty next door but wouldn't volunteer for chickens.
Ooops, a few typos earlier when sneaking off from work! Just nearly had an equally embarrassing accident reading it back and then again at clari's reply. Less said eh?
Congrats Panda on your germinations.
KEF? things in your nieghbourhood falling off the wagon? Was it you?
Far too hot to be at work today as I'm sure you'll agree, so let's have tomorrow off to make up for it
Might take a quick trip down the garden with my camera...

Indoors for a long cool Campari & soda - well, the sun must be over the yard arm somewhere
