Ma is just to get the jumper off when the sun hits Dove fear not. Get that vitamin D in you else you'll never grow strong.
I was making nettle stew last night and caught my arm with a bunch. No big deal there is a distinct advantage to chronic pain - nettle rash comes as a "welcome change". BUT what I have just noticed that despite showering and washing my arms regularly over 12 hours later I still have the nettle rash.
Good morning Fg I planted a Daniel D a couple of months ago - it's had two huge blooms, but both at ankle level - I've been reading up on pruning him so that he will cover the end of the fence with blooms in a few years' time.
Clari - it's ages since I had a proper encounter with stinging nettles, but I always kept the rash a good 24 hours, and it would carry on itching the next day
I've got a couple of red ant bites on my face this morning - it's all that laying in the long grass by the pond
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning Dove. The greenfly have also discovered DD and enjoy him too. Had to give him a spray of my famous liquid
Mine's very 'bushy' and I have to keep encouraging him up the trellis. Doesn't help that he was growing so much by the time I got it painted and on the fence that I broke some of the budding stems earlier on in the year
Right off I go to the salt mines
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Good morning all.
Just seen Mr.T chatting with weather girl at Chelsea, his show garden looks interesting.
I'm really wanting my poppies to open, huge buds on them.
Hugs for bitten & nettled & salt mine slaves.
Lovely garden John H

According to this http://gardendrama.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/i-love-you-daniel-deronda-clematis-but-how-in-the-hell-do-i-prune-you/ the trick is to keep him short in the first couple of years.
