Morning all. Late for me - was catching up with Salamander from last night. Don't think anyone here is watching it. It's very good. image

Dull here and a bit damp looking - supposed to rain later. Will get some compost at GC as they had a good deal there when I was in yesterday with a friend. Got some dark sweet peas so I'll just sow them straight outside I think once I get compost into raised bed. No suitable creams or whites so I'll get them online. Louise, I presume you just want to get your sw. peas hardened off a bit before putting out? Sounds right to me - if they're too coddled and warm they just get leggy. Remember to pinch them out as well. David's sp thread will give you all the info you need image

Edd - don't get me started on stupid people who go up hills inadequately dressed. Have seen so many of them image

Dove - hope the ear's better soon. Don't delay getting the right treatment.

Hope everyone has a good day. Think I may have to do ironing later image

All right you lot, nursing friend on foodie forum was firm with me so I've been to the Walk-in Clinic - got there at 8.55am - 25 people ahead of me!!!

Then had to go into the Mall and wait for Boots to open at 10.30 to get the prescription filled - Erythromycin 2 caps 4 times a day - think I should just be able to squeeze four doses in today if I don't go to bed too early image

The nurse said I'd been a brave girl image 'cos it looked really sore down inside my ear - I do have a high pain threshold - I suppose it might be why I've been having really horrid dreams the past few nights. Shall keep taking the paracetamol and yoghurt image

When I got home OH had mowed one of the lawns, emptied the 'made' compost bin onto the veg patch and dug it in, turned the other compost into the empty bin, and dug up the really old straggly unsalvagable unscented rose that had been earmarked to be replaced. How's that for a well-trained under-gardener?  He'd remembered all the tasks we'd been discussing over the past few weeks!  image

So now we'll have a coffee before we get on with the rest of the gardening over today and tomorrow! image

That's good Dove. At least we won't have to shout now for you to hear us.

A Bloody Mary would be good KEF, but I've just googled my meds and it says that alcofrolicking may impact on it's efficacy image

Glad you've got your ear sorted, Dove.

Naughty Panda! Hope it wears off quickly and was worth the misery!

OH is having a go at mowing the grass. I must clear up rose prunings before he does that bit.

I'd rather have a white wine, thanks, KEF, but I think I'll wait 'til lunchtime.

It was definitely worth the misery Lizzie, had a fabulous evening with my friends image

Am starting to feel better, I think the motion sickness has gone image

Saw a beautiful peacock butterfly in the garden. OH couldn't get my camera in time for a photo. He was sitting on my crocuses (or croci?) and then flew off to the celandine image
