Thanks Dove, I think I was half asleep, I realised while walking the dogs that I should have done that!!  I didn't realise you could get yellow Alyssum, it looks different to the white one grown as a bedding plant.  Definitely off to the local GC on Saturday image

    Morning all.

I miss my mum. Sometimes I put my hand out to the phone, but she died 2 years ago. It was difficult being here in France and her in a home, but it was a good home and her choice and I had 1 sister and 2 brothers living near by. I suppose if you don't get on with your parents (sad) then you don't provide much support. My parents were lovely.

Chicky, I cheated with my salvia f., they are plug plants, so are the begonias (apart from 4 tubers that won't grow).

Hi all again, just a quick lurk before doing shopping list.

Verdun your Mum has done so very well and great she's home. Sad that others aren't supportive but at least she has you image

Lizzie hugs. I lost my Dad nearly 10 yrs ago and I still occasionally think I'll ask his opinion about something.

Clari, glad you can now eat more of a variety.

Panda glad you had a good day with friend.

Dove, OL & anyone on previous page image Hi image

As well as shopping list I'd better get fleece out of shed ready for weekend image

Verdun I'm so glad your mother is doing well. People are weird unfortunately - often caught up so much in their own little worlds that they don't have the inclination to even think about helping others yet then you find neighbours you barely know bending over backwards to help. I wont share you the story of my aunt and her disgustingly selfish acts that near sent my mother over the edge when their father was dying - it gets my blood pressure up too much (fortunately she disgraced herself so much the family have since abandoned her).
Just keep close to those wonderful people who have enough goodness in their hearts to help and remember that it's perfectly acceptable to "return the favour" when family members decide to call upon your generosity.

SM task completed. Chose to go to Aldi so £1.79 climbers could climb into the trolley - not one in sight, only saw them on monday but at different store.image

Found some seeds out last night which need sowing:

phacelia, cornflower polka dot mix, nigella miss jekyll.

Might do now or at the weekend. Says direct sow outside but I'll only weed them out so probably best to start them off in trays!
