I'll let you go to sleep now, flowers! but in the morning, you might take the time to ponder about mDNA. The thing about the Mitochondrial DNA line is that it can only be passed from a female, so your brothers can produce as many females as they like, but your mothers m DNA is lost to that thread.it can only be passed from her daughters to their daughters, etc tricky isn't it, but I rather like the paradox that for generations beyond memory, the male name was passed/forced onto their partners and so they seemed to be the only ones who were important. Nowadays, with the mDNA being understood, it shows how important we females were, after all, even though we weren't allowed to keep our family names when we married. yee-har! -
You're awake late too, SGLily. Hope you can get off to sleep soon.
ps, Wonky, that WA fire looks bad. Just seen some footage on TV. It means I can guess what area your friend is in. (North of Perth.) but, if they have been evacuated, they'll be looked after. You might be able to google the WA fires. If you can't find it, I'll get Hubby to find the title of the site for you, I'm hopeless at those things.

Yes I'm well. I've actually been out doing some weeding and pruning for a change. I think our rain has gone so no excuses for not getting out there.
